Chapter One Promotions

At Chapter One Promotions we provide exciting and varied writing opportunities through a diverse selection of creative avenues to develop a writer and to support new writing talent.

We run highly structured and intensive workshops led by experienced, professional authors and a critiquing service by those already established in the literary industry.  Our readers will critique your work at every stage of the work-in-progress and will aid writers in making decisions on improving their poetry, short stories and manuscripts for publications and competitions.

Both our Poetry Competition and the International Short Story Competition attracts entries from writers not only wanting to be published but to win one of the substantial prizes on offer.  In addition, we host the Children’s Story Competition and the Young Illustrator’s Competition for up and coming young writers and artists.  Our Novel Competition takes place every two years and the winner is guided by an editor to complete their novel for publication.
